From elegant Fino grades (WPI 10–12) to rare Superfino and Extrafino creations, woven over weeks or even months, and culminating in extraordinary museum-quality Ultrafino masterpieces, each hat begins its journey in the hands of the Tejedor. These artisans work through the night and in the early hours of dawn, when cooler temperatures and higher humidity allow the toquilla straw fibres to achieve extraordinary suppleness.
The result is a weave of exceptional fineness, lightweight, elastic, and as delicate as silk. For the most precious examples, a single hat may take up to a year to complete.
Each piece is individually hand-inspected and selected to the most exacting standards. Those demonstrating flawless weave uniformity and exceptional quality make the journey to the United Kingdom.
